Hello,

I'll go straight to the point....Hiv/aids cannot be passed through kissing, you need to drink alot lot of their salive, like a bucket load to be infected....as far as i know...

From a ********...it isn't considered a high risk situtaion but a low risk situation..

HIV cannot survive well in an environment such as saliva, and it does not survive outside of a host for a very long time. It is highly unlikely that the virus can be passed during the exchange of saliva during a kiss, but there still remains a slight possibility, especially if either of the parties (or both) has an open sore or cut -- the virus can then move more readily from the bloodstream of one person into the other. As far as oral sex, this is a slightly more risky behavior, although the virus is still less likely to be spread this way than through vaginal or anal intercourse. In this case, if the person performing oral sex has an open sore or cut in his or her mouth, the chances of contracting the virus are greatly increased -- the best advice is to avoid this behavior or use a condom if your partner has not been tested or is known to have HIV.

The # 1 way that HIV is transmitted in any counrty is certainly not oral sex! In the 25 years we have known about the virus there has been a handfull of cases from giving oral sex, and to the best of my knowledge not one documented case of getting HIV from getting only oral sex. There has been 1 documented case of transmission from kissing alone. Both parties had just had extensive dental work done. Kissing carries an extremely low risk, though still a risk and oral sex would carry a minimum risk. With all of that said, a condom can save you a lot of anxiety. Stay safe!

from a BJ, yes.

I'd like to state that a BUNCH of people are going to tell you no, that you cant get it from a kiss, but I would wait for proof before you totally believed that. Not that hard to bite your tongue or have a blister, or a cold sore, or even bleed from flossing. I have HSV -1 in my mouth you know, and the god forsaken things get cut all the time and spill blood in my mouth.

My bet is that not one person that will say you can't get it from a kiss will provide a reliable source, IF ANY.

The #1 way HIV/AIDS is spread in the USA is unprotected oral sex between young heterosexuals.

Here is some information on condoms, birth control, infection, safer sex, abstinence and other alternatives to intercourse, how to talk to your partner about sexual issues ... even a video on how to CORRECTLY apply a condom.
