I found out about two months ago that I have genital warts, Ive been to the hospital and had them frozen four times, they've almost gone now, but how can I reduce the risk of them coming back?
I have read lots of information about warts and it says that a heathly immune system will reduce the risk of them returning, is there any other suggestions??
Also, I am worried that having genital warts will effect future relationships.

ps..
please do not be rude or abusive, having genital warts does not mean I have had sex with lots of people, you can get genital warts reguardless if you use a condom or not.

There really is nothing you can do to prevent them from coming back. Staying healthy and keeping your immune system up is the best thing to do. You can treat them and get rid of them at the time, but really that's all you can do. HPV (the virus that causes genital warts) will stay with you the rest of your life, because there is no cure. They can come back at any time.

As for future relationships, I've actually read that about 75-80% of the world has HPV. My doctor said only about 20some% of those people actually know they have it! There is no test for men, so the only way they know they have the virus is usually by developing genital warts. Symptoms can take months and even years to develop though, so these guys can be passing it on to women they sleep with and not even realize it!

I'm engaged to a great guy right now and he accepted that I had HPV and genital herpes. I have never had a bad reaction to telling someone I have both viruses. Of course they want to know as much information about it as they can, but as long as you have researched it and know as much as you can about it you should be okay, and okay explaining it to them. I even gave my fiance some websites, so that when he had the time he could look at it and learn about the viruses. It's not impossible to find a guy that will be okay with it. However, condoms do not protect 100% against HPV. Genital warts can be spread by skin to skin contact. So even though the condom is covering the penis, genital warts can be found all over the genital area, and as long as you are rubbing together, it is possible for the other person to get it.

Genital warts are caused by HPV which is a virus that stays in your body for life. In most cases, your immune system is strong enough to get rid of the warts itself, but I guess that isn't your situation. HPV can't really "get worse" as much as it has the ability to spread. Here are some suggestions: 1) Get a prescription of Aldara. It is a topical cream to get rid of the warts. 2) Keep getting the warts frozen off when they appear. 3) Keep the warts as clean as possible but try not to touch them then touch other parts of your genitals because they can spread. 4) There are some herbal remedies that are supposed to help curb the warts, but I don't know how effective they are. 5) Start taking vitamins and supplements as well as exercising to try to boost your immune system. That is your body's best defense against HPV. Unfortunately, condoms don't protect your partner 100% from getting HPV or Herpes because they are spread through skin-to-skin contact. However, let your partners know that 50% of the population have HPV and 80% of women get HPV by the time they are 50 years old (CDC stat). And just don't have sex when you have visible warts. I also suggest that you get the Gardisil HPV vaccination. Even though you already have one strain of HPV, it can prevent you from getting the strains that are the highest risk for contracting cervical Cancer.

Nothing that you can do. As some of the others stated, around 75% of the population has them, most of whom are not even aware that they are infected their symptoms are so mild. Some people never have an outbreak, some only have one, others have many. The number and severity of outbreaks generally decreases over time(your immune system gets better at fighting it). As for relationships, its no big deal. Its extremely common, and the person you are dating probably has it, even if they don't think they do. Its important to tell your future partners for two big reasons: 1. They have a right to know, so that they can make an informed decision and 2. If they walk away over it, its a good insight into their character and it is not someone who you would want to be involved with anyways. Hope that helps, take care!

I got diagnosed with herpes virus (type 2) about three yrs ago, whilst I was still attending college and had a silly one-night stand. I understand a lot of girls say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and suddenly it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for my entire life. The worst part was feeling I could never date other men again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores round her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/h9LvE everything changed.

Not only was I able to clear away all remnants of the herpes virus from my body in less than three weeks, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so lucky to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This program provided the opportunity to be happy and experience true love again. Now I want to help others too by sharing this story.

frozen? do they die, i mean warts die from cold? if you really want to reduce warts, you should have hygiene girl and stop messing around so much. warts are like flies, they fly from you to others. worse, they fly from others to you. so to get rid of warts, cut back your active lifestyle. sleep alone.
