Discuss this with your doctor. You medication pattern should probably be modified if you are not doing anything wrong.

Skip the warm milk at bedtime. Quit eating that donut or cookie at bedtime.

I do not believe that QUICKLY is healthy. Read the South Beach diet book. The author Arthur Agatston, MD discusses the dangers of insulin and sugar level changes extensively. Work hard to change the way that you think, so you can retain good health.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

This year I found out in a routine blood test that I'm a diabetic type 2, I'm 38years old , & showed no symptoms prior!!! That is why it is sometimes called the silent killer due to the fact that NOT ALL people show symptoms until it's to late!!!. There are many causes though for your list of symptoms even just stress and the only true answer can come from your GP. Before you attend your appointment write a list of symptoms and if you feel you need a longer chat with him (+10min) mention this when making your appointment. Good Luck & don't worry!

190 is a little high, but don't freak give the meds a chance to work.If you take insulin it should resolve itself fairly quickly. If your type 2 I'm not sure of the time frame. Lighten up on breakfast and check again in an hour. If your taking humalog in 30 mins

You need to consider what you are eating at or just before bedtime. The thirst is a sign of high blood glucose, as you probably know already. If you are on medications [pills], you should speak to your doctor about it, possibly Metformin in the evening might help with the morning highs. If you are on insulin, then you and your doctor should consider Lantus in the evening or maybe change your regiment from regular therapy to intensive therapy. I have found that regular therapy - intermediate acting insulins - do not work well for me. However, fast acting insulins plus Lantus works much better [for me, at least]. There is no quick method just consistent practice of good choices for better blood glucose control.

Don't listen to the guy about th glucagon, it's for LOW BLOOD SUGAR emergencies!
Don't eat a bedtime snack, yes 190 is too high for a pre-breakfast reading!

Waking up with high sugar levels despite medication and dietary changes should be met with an appointment with your doctor to test you for averages ... if the average is high, you may need an upgrade of your evening medication or to be put on insulin.

That glucagon pen (shot) is high concentrated sugar which is administered if someone passes out due to low blood sugar. I wouldn't freak out over your 190 blood sugar although you should probably call your doctor.

Best answer: don't worry about quickly. Worry about in the future. diet/excercise changes, med changes possibly, etc. wil help so that the next readings are normal. It is not the occasional spike that hurts the body, it is the overall level.
