I need to prepare a midmornig snack plus bottled water. Deli trays of meat, cheese and all the trimings for 35 people plus and afternoon snack and water. How much and what kind of meat and cheese should I get as well as bread.

You can do this two ways prepare it yourself or have Publix do it for you. If you want Publix to do it then it shouldn't be that hard just select the platter that is closest to your liking and get that. Now on the other hand if you want to prepare this yourself simple buy some lunch meat such as boiled ham, turkey and roast beef since with those three meats you can't go wrong. Next get some baby swiss cheese and buy some Ritz crackers instead of bread. You can arrange the meat on one platter, you can roll the meat up or lay them out one by one. On the next platter have crackers with cheese laid out on the second. In a cup have some toothpicks for them to use to pick up the meat. Or you can get the small salomi slices that are small circles they will work just as well. The water is easy to get they sell them by 24 pks. Remember you are not trying to get them full but to offer a snack that is key.

If your doing a meat platter, figure about 1/4# per person. That would be almost 10# of deli meats. I personally would mix it up. Ham, Salami, Roast Beef. As for Cheese's figure about 2 slices per person. Maybe a platter w/ lettuce, tomato & pickles. W/ small side bowls of mayo & mustard. As for breads, try some fresh deli rolls. For you afternoon snack, go with small assorted puff pastry, cookies or brownies. Or if you are leaning toward the lighter side go with fruit cups or assorted mellon. Good Luck

Go to your Walmart or other local deli depts. and ask for their brochure. That should tell you how many pounds of meat, cheese, etc. are on a sm, med, or large platter and how many ppl each will serve. There ya go.
