Nathans hot dog are delicious, but the New York City hot dogs are the best! The kind you get from a hot dog vendor. They are called Hebrew National hot dogs. I'm not just saying this because I'm from New York. I have tasted other dogs and I truly have to say the New York dogs are the best. The Nathans dogs which were originally sold at the Nathans restaurant in Conley Island can be brought at the supermarket. The ones you get at the Nathan's restaurant are much better.

I have to say being a new yorker the hotdog snob capital of the world that my fav has to be sahlens or glazier. Hoffmans are good too. As far as oscar mayer, ball park, ect goes those arent real hotdogs.

Never heard of Nathan's until QVC ~ i think those are the ones that were selling them???
I do like ballpark,,,,Nathan's must be a chain?
I'll have to look and see if they are at the grocery store.

As far as restaraunts go, Nathan's is the best. Homemade ones, beef Ballpark Franks are the best!

I think in the food world, Nathan's are considered to be the creme de le creme.. but I still like Oscar Mayor.

Yes, they are! I've tried Ballparks and Oscar Meyer and they tend to be mushy. Nathans has a snap to them. YUM! In fact, I had one for dinner last night and I may have one tonight.

I have never heard of Nathan's hot dogs. We like Oscar mayer but tell tg315 he can send me some Hoffman's they sound yummy. If their hot dogs are anything like New york pizza then Yummy!

no....the best hot dogs in the world are Hoffman Natural Case hot dogs. You can only get them in Central New York. People in our area of the country tend to think of ourselves as "hot dog snobs"...lol
They have to be grilled or broiled....not steamed. Brown mustard is a must. Give me an addy and I'll send you a couple.

I think it must depend on what you are used to, a friend and I had this discussion and he said they were terrible because the casing on them was tougher and they snap, unlike ballpark and oscar meyer.
