I am sure that meat tastes better when it is killed humanely. Although I don't believe that animals have the capacity for fear as we do (meaning, the concept of death or anticipation of death), if animals are not killed quickly and cleanly, they suffer and their bloodstreams are flooded with fight-or-flight hormones and stress products, or fatigue toxins. I don't have to try them to be sure those don't taste good.
This may be one reason why primitive men switched from hunting to animal husbandry, once they realized that immature animals were tenderer and that captive animals would be less gamy through regular quality feed and they would not have the taste of pain in them when they were killed humanely.

Fresh monkey meat is the best. Knife them in the back so it is painless.
