Are you testing him two to four hours AFTER he eats? Also make sure he is eating fresh low fat food food that is low in processed carbs, and sugar. Sometimes if I test too soon after eating I'll get an off the wall reading.
However slurred speech is a big deal so I would consult with a doctor and go from there. He might be spiking a fever too or have something other than diabetes going on. Good Luck.

Okay first every child has heard of the human centipede so many say that they've watched it when they got freaked by the trailer. It's not suitable for a child of 10 it's an 18 for a reason. And it may affect your child's mental health state and development more than you may think. I wouldn't recommend anyone watch it let alone a 10 year old

how high has his blood sugar been? if it's only > 200 for 10 - 15 mins then he's not diabetic. Need more info for an accurate "guesstimation-diagnosis by internet" I really don't think he's diabetic, but can't say for sure without more specifics.

Your son needs intensive glucose monitoring through a professional laboratory and a visit to an endicrinologist. If he is developing Type 1 Diabetes, it is better to get it diagnosed and dealt with earlier than later.

Definately sounds glandular or hormonal or both. It'll only be diabetes if there is a history in the family.
