Dinner Parties. I hate bugs. I prefer good meal, good friends, good conversation. Intimate settings.

Backyard cookout is best. BBQ is more relaxed...get down and dirty type of thing. You can be outside relaxed, expecially if you have a pool. Your closet friends and love ones can be there and everyone can be themselves. Everyone always pitch in with the cooking and the cleaning. The party can go as long as you want it to. The thing about a dinner party is that you need to have arranged seating for everyone. At BBQ people sit outside, inside, on the floor, wherever. And as long as you have enough meat people are happy. Dinners are more planned and prepared.

Depends on going to it or having it. BBQ either way cause no major cleanup and you can take about anything you want to it.U can grill everything so sky`s the limit on what u eat.Formal attire is a big no,no,here!!! They usually get out the water hose to cool u off if u get 2 hot.So old clothes or shorts are mandtory as is a good time for all. So if u like 2 be sweaty and hot and have fun it`s a BBQ. Otherwise this tie is choking me.

If there are less than five people, then dinner. Otherwise bbq.

If there is going to be a serious business discussed then dinner, otherwise bbq.

If there are going to be a lot of people from one particular group, i.e., a certain company, or firm then dinner, otherwise bbq.

If you want to show your skills as a sophisticated guy who plans things well ahead of time, and manages other people well, then dinner. If however you want to prove how cavalier are you are and can manage things on the go, including sticky situations that certain friends might get you into, then bbq.

If there are going to be easy girls out there, then bbq. If the girls are the type who want you to play all 18 holes first, then dinner.

Depends on the occasion, I prefer a BBQ - less formal and more fun. It's also easier for chatting with people you don't know very well. Dinner parties can feel a bit forced unless you all know each other really well and are more formal.

For the Fourth of July or any summer day I'd choose the BBQ because in beautiful weather it's always better to be outside.

It's more social
Theres nothing better then BBQ shrimp
Beer is the drink of choice
Plus the best reason of all, the men do all the cooking :)

well it depends on the weather the mood the people are in. if they want to just hang out and have real good time fun then maybe a BBQ, but if they want to be more casual or arent in a communicative mood then dinner party because it helps people get closer to each other and everbody will start knowing each other. both are fun though!

Dinner party. Generally a better menu.
BBQ tends be a lot of meat flying about and salad and bread. Quite lack lustre.
A good dinner party though......

Depends if you're going to one or providing one?

bbq in this weather definitely cause you can enjoy the weather have a few drinks and a laugh out your back garden + you can use paper plates for a bbq so there isn't as much cleaning up to do
