Ranch sauce is divine!!!!
I remember trying it for the first time a few years ago when in Florida. Pronounced Raaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwnchhhhhh!
It is just a delicious sauce, a bit like bbq sauce, used in burger bars in the USA.
Actually you can get Ranch sauce in UK - perhaps not quite so yummy (owing to the English pronounciation "Rarrrnch")
Try a large branch of Sainsbury's or Tesco.
Hope your friend finds what she is looking for!!!

Ranch Sauce: this recipe is from Frito - Lay, circa 1957. Hard to beat: Mix all ingredients in a non-reactive saucepan, bring to a boil and simmer for at least 20 minutes, stirring often so that it doesn't stick.
RANCH SAUCE
3 tbl Butter
1 med Onion, chopped fine
1/2 tsp Celery seed
1/2 tsp Dry mustard
1/4 tsp Pepper
2 tsp Salt
1 x Clove garlic, chopped
1 tbl Lemon juice
1 tbl Lea and Perrins, or so
1/8 tsp Hot sauce (I'm sure we'll add more...)
1/4 cup Cider vinegar
1 cup Tomato sauce
1/2 cup Tomato puree
1/4 cup Brown sugar - for a double recipe, use the 1/4 cup and add extra to taste

Ranch sauce, also called Ranch dressing, is a buttermilk-based, creamy dressing with pepper, chives and other spices. It is a little on the salty-side but is very popular and delicious for dipping raw vegetables or chips.

OK - here is an easy version. I don't understand why all of you asking for recipes here don't just do a search and find them easily yourselves. I am sure you are much more computer savvy than I.
RANCH SALAD DRESSING
1 c. mayonnaise
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. parsley flakes
1 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. Accent
1/8 tsp. pepper
Mix together and serve. Note: tastes like Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing. Dry onion flakes may be added if desired. I prefer the dressing without onions
