Of course it is! There's no need tor supplements either if you know what you're doing - it's also possible to go vegan your entire life as well and still get all the vitamines you need. People who say that you will eventually get sick of vegetables have obviously not tried being vegetarian - it's easy to get sick of meat but you could never get sick of vegetables with all the different ypes around. Oh and um...I'm not sure but I don't really think that anything could happen while your a foetus that would case you to not be able to eat meat (in reply to the person who said that something could go wrong during a pregnancy). I think that most people wouldn't eat meat as a personal choice.

As funny as this sounds it depends on your blood type. Some blood types (like O) need more red meat in their diet. I was a vegetarian for over two years and I ended up with an extreme iron deficiency. As long as you find a way (supplements) to make sure you're getting all of the required nutrients it could be very likely to remain a vegetarian all your life.

Yes, but you need to be careful. The diet of a vegetarian has to be watched more closely to make up for what you are not getting from meat.

My sister-in-law has been a vegetarian since grade school. She is in her 40's. She has raised her 10 year old straight vegetarian. (Except when she stops at Kentucky Fried Chicken). Shhhh no one is supposed to know.

I will probably be a vegetarian for the rest of my life because I find eating meat repulsive. I find it repulsive for me to eat it, I should say. Others can do as they please. I haven't had any meat, fish, or poultry for 14 years now and have no desire to return to it.

Yes, of course, it is a very healthy lifestyle. Knowing the right foods to eat is important, just as with any diet.
