yea. I meant if the contents would spill out. Actually, some rice cookers are actually pressure cookers.

Actually, I thought about using a steaming pot, but I'm just trying to cook it faster.

no. use a steamer or a rice cooker w/ a basket.

one thing for sure you would get dumplings or won ton soup..
if I got no time I use microwave.... easy and clean..
but for the best result..steamer is good..
I found one in $$store, a metal steamer, put in a pot and done..
