Usually I go to the fireworks with my family...but I am away at school overseas, in the Middle East. So I am afraid I am going to miss it this year. So light a sparkler for me.

The parade was today, we just got home from that. It was boring. Local elections coming up so it was more like an election parade. Our town is too cheap to have fireworks this year. For the past several years they had fireworks over the lake on the 3rd and fireworks over the "mountains" on the 4th. They were beautiful. But no more. The fireworks display didn't bring the revenue into the town that they had hoped for. But how could it, all the businesses closed early.
Anyways, we have no other plans now.
