Dear Luvsthesimpson,
Canine are present in our

buccal cavity for tearing meat of other animals and our

digestive system can digest veg as well as non-veg. If God

Almighty wanted us to have only veg, why did he give us

canine and the digestive system that can digest both?

Further more, most people base their arguement against

non-vegetarianism upon the principle of killing living things.

They say that killing a living creature is a wrong act. They

fail to realise that even plants have got life. Some people

further say that I agree that they have got life but they can't

feel pain. So I tell them that today, science has got even

more advanced and science tell that plants can even cry,

they can even feel happy. So, your logic has failed. One

person went to the extent saying that plants have got two

or three senses, animals have got 5 senses. Therefore,

killing an animal is a bigger crime. I tell them that suppose,

you have a brother who was born blind and deaf, two

senses less. When he grew up, someone kills him. Will you

tell the judge that please give the murderer less

punishment because my brother had two senses less? The

logic doesn't work that way.
Some people propose that Islam is a ruthless religion. You

slaughter the animals and they feel pain. Its a barbaric

religion. Its nothing but their lack of awareness. In Islamic

method of slaughtering animals, animal dies a PAINLESS

death. The animal contracts and relaxes not due to the

pain, but due to the gush of the flow of blood. In Islamic

method of slaughtering animals, most of the blood flows

out of the body of the animal because we know that blood

is a good medium of germs and bacteria.
Some people put a new logic, they say that science tells us

that whatever we eat has an effect of your behaviour so

eating animals, makes you ferocious. This is the reason

that we, MUSLIMS are allowed only to eat herbivore animals

like cow, goat, sheep etc. These are peacful animals. We

Muslims are peace loving people. We are not allowed to

have lion, tiger, leopard.

-veg, you can contact me at:

Pork is DEFINATELY out of the question.
The whole idea of being a vegetarian is that you DO NOT eat meat or any animal products - this includes gelatine, which is made from boiling animal hooves and connective tissues etc.
If you eat chicken and fish then you're getting a little grey, but that's still counted as being a semi vegetarian. To eat milk and eggs classifies you as an ovo-lacto vegetarian. Look on Wikipedia for the full list - there are some very uncommon ones there as well.
Eats chicken - pollo vegetarian
Eats fish - pesco vegetarian
Chicken and fish (and dairy and eggs) - semi vegetarian
eggs - ovo
dairy - lacto
eggs and dairy - ovo-lacto vegetarian.
Ovo lacto is probably your best choice - that's at least a true type of vegetarianism. Semi isn't really a recognised form as chicken and fish are animals.
And absolutely no pork.
Remember that it's not right to sacrifice the life on an animal to sustain our own and we shouldn't eat animals just because we can/like the taste of them.
Good luck though in becoming a vegetarian.

It depends on how strict of a vegetarian you are aiming to be. You definitely can't eat pork!! That is a given. As far as poultry goes, I would say no to eating that as well. But seafood and dairy products are in. Dairy products don't hurt the cow, since that is what they are made to make. But, many people view things differently. Just make up your own mind about how far you want to take the whole vegetarian thing and take lots of vitamins to stay healthy! Good Luck!

vegetarians are not suppose to eat meat, including pork, chicken, or any type of meat. I'm not sure about fish. Vegans do not eat anything that comes from an animal, including the animal. That means no eggs, meat, poultry, cheese, etc. Good Luck.

absolutely not, a vegetarian cannot eat any meat products that includes, beef, pork, seafood, poultry. It's okay to eat dairy products but people that don't are called Vegans.

No, you can't eat pork nor dairy products. Basically, you can't eat nothing that come from an animal only from plants and stuff like that.

No. Some vegetarians eat dairy products and eggs, but the ones who call themselves 'vegans' do not.
