My neighbor upstairs made this very unique salsa (she is Indian - please don't get all up in arms, I don't know what kind of Indian - I just know she is not American Indian - sorry if it's not politically correct) anyway, this salsa is delicious, it's like a Mexican Salsa, onions, tomato, green chilies, but the twist is it has mint leaves in it - it's very good. She gave me an Indian bread to put it on, but I can't place where this sauce would be good on... the salsa is good, but any ideas on what kind of meat to use it on???
I didn't like the mix of the bread or chips and this salsa. It's a different combination. She doesn't speak any English so it's hard to ask her. Thanks!

It sounds like a mint chutney (also spelled chatni). Chutneys are condiments that are generally made from very fresh ingredients and are intended to be consumed quickly. (Major Grey's Chutney, made from mangoes, would be the exception, but that's really Anglo-Indian,)
Chutneys can be served with lots of different foods, such as samosas (savory filled pastries something like empanadas) and fritters (bhaji or pakora). In Indian restaurants, chutney is often served with papadum, a crisp, very thin flatbread made from lentils. You could also serve chutney with meats (the way we eat cranberry sauce with turkey, applesauce with pork, ketchup with hamburger, or mint jelly with lamb).
There are endless types of chutneys. The one that you described would probably go well with most plain meats or chicken. I think it'd be terrific with grilled meats. I wouldn't serve it with something that has its own sauce, which might compete with the chutney.
P.S. If you can, change your question to say "chutney" instead of "salsa" - that way, you'll attract the attention of people who are knowledgeable about Indian food.

Well, I would try ground Turkey. Becuase turkey meat is very light, as I know from my own experiences, and mint is more strong so perhaps a light and strong mix would go good together!! Or maybe if you don like turkey meat that you can buy at a butcher, Jewel, DOminicks, Albertsons etc you could try chicken and mint, because it is also light and it might even go good with cheeses like ricota and chiwawa cheese I think~!!!
