Pleurisy is very painful. I think the altitude will make the pain worse. Ask your doctor if you should fly. More than likely he will tell you it is up to you, unless you have a severe case of it & are willing to go to another hospital if it gets worse.

Been diagnosed with pleurisy recently and i am about to fly to canada in a couple of weeks, as i will be of one plane and on to another for 8 hours will i be ok to fly venus 2

yes i work on planes you sure can...but please notify the company you are booking with of your condition and how serious it is...so cabin crew can be prepaired for any emergency(as they always are anyway)but the heads up is always one step closer to better travel experience...
