The semen of a person with HIV always contains the HIV virus. That doesn't mean it will always be transmitted to the partner. If the women is not infected, the baby will not be infected
Even if the mother is HIV positive, the virus is not always transmitted to the fetus. If a women is taking medication and her HIV is under good control, and the baby is given HIV medications during and after the birth, the chances of the baby being infected are only about 1%. Without medication, the chances of transmission are about 33%.

Yes it does. Semen is not made from blood. Do both parents have HIV? It is possible to have a child who is neg, if the mother is on HIV meds. The virus is passed during childbirth when the baby passes through the birth canal. The % is dramatically decreased when a Csection is done to bypass the birth canal.

If both of them are HIV positive and wish to have a child the risk to transmit the infection to the child is only 33%. But if adequate medical guidance and antiretroviral therapy is administered the risk can be reduced to mere 1%.
I have a couple friends who successfully had a baby boy. He is 6 years old and HIV negative. You can contact the couple on the email:elangoram@gmail.com or on the telephone 91-9448060409

YES - Semen is one of the body fluids which does contain the HIV virus. Even an undetectable viral load from the standard HIV Elisa test does not mean that you do not have HIV.

There is a first time for anything! New ways of the virus being transmitted crop up every day - someone recently got infected by using her sisters razor to shave her legs - several hours after her sister had used it! This was once thought an impossible way of contracting the virus, so never say never!

You can only hope to have an HIV negative. Just like you can only hope to have a blue eyed baby...or alot of money...some things just don't happen. Sorry.
The only thing that you can do is take your meds like you are supposed to and hope that your immune system is healthy and not acting up. Good Luck.

It can happen, I will vouch for that. An HIV+ man can impregnate a woman without infecting her. DO NOT TRY THIS INTENTIONALLY because it is very risky and only luck prevents transmission.
If she evades infection, the child will too.
