Anyone knows Japanese? Recipe ingredient translation?

I bought these two bags of Okinawa pancake/bread mix. On the back, there's the recipe. I could guess most of the ingredients, but I couldn't guess this ingredient on both of the bags. They must be the same thing because the words are just in different order. The online translator couldn't translated it. I interpreted that it means something like salad, oil, and melted butter, but isn't 2 cups or 60-80g (amount said on the recipe) of salad oil/melted butter too much?

on one bag:
せうダオイルヌは溶しバター

on the other bag:
溶しバターヌはせうダオイル

sorry. the first two characters are wrong. i kind of know something is wrong when i typed it because the shape is kind of similar but different. i thought it's just a different font or something (forgive me for being stupid and ignorant). i'm in a beginning japanese class for 5 days only and have only learned hiragana and haven't learn katakana. thank you people for pointing that out. arigatoo gozaimasu!

yes, Cyn. the bag with 2 cups oil. there's a little sticker (in english) said, "Pancake Mix; Okinawa Seifun (Kokuto Sata-Andagi Mix)" and the picture looks like the picture on the bag, u'r right.

but the other bag is something different, it's like the yellow sponge cakes (i added 2 spoons of oil for 1/3 of the powder , because i have no idea what's the amount in grams (too lazy to get a measuring cup) and it turns out good, not fluffy though (too much powder, stirred too much, maybe?) but it's good).

yozora, i kno it's not really pancake, but that's what the little sticker label said, it said 大さじ2杯 for the amount for one of the bag... couldn't really scan it nicely though because the bag is not flat

♡I think it's salad oil too. ～I could be totally wrong and please just disregard my answer if I am, but I know a young man from Okinawa and every time he visits my house, I live in Japan, he brings these round (ball like) Okinawa donuts (Sata Andagi; deep-fried donuts) his mother makes.↓

If the package you have is used as an Okinawa pancake/bread mix then the 2 cups of 'salad oil' MIGHT BE the amount needed to deep fry such donuts, made with that type of Okinawa mix, and NOT used directly in the batter??
Could this possibly be it? ♡

We're not really sure what you mean by 'Okinawa pancake / bread mix', but we have a packet of hot-cake mix in the house (ホットケーキミックス) that's American pancakes to everyone who's not Japanese!

That has 2 recipes on the back (for people who don't want to make hot cakes!) the first is donuts (ドーナツ) and it calls for
溶かしバター又はサラダ油大さじ１~2
which is only 1-2 tablespoonsful of melted butter or oil, so that's not your recipe.

The other is a pound cake recipe, and it calls for
溶かしバター 80g.
But it doesn't mention the salad oil.
Those are both for one x 200g bag of mix, but we agree that 60-80g of salad oil sounds way too much! But there are people who use oil to make cakes, I don't know whether it tastes good though..!

If your recipe really wants 2 cups, it will probably say カップ２杯. That just means 2 cups of the ingredient.

Are you sure that you're not supposed to use the oil / butter to grease the pan? I know it's unlikely..! Could you scan the recipe in, put the pic on a site like photobucket.com, and let us see the whole thing???!

The first two characters are incorrect (they are hiragana and the rest are katakana). But I'm guessing the original says
"sarada oiru"= salad oil. It's often used in recipes where we would use "cooking oil" or "vegetable oil".
The rest just says "matawa"=or, and then melted butter.

I think "せうダオイル" is "サラダオイル" meaning salad oil.
