diamonds are the most dense material on earth, not the sharpest. The sharpest edge has been known to be porcelain knives. They are popular in Asia and are very expensive as well as fragile. it's not necessarily the sharpest, but the diamond is the hardest ... so when it's sharp, it's sharper than anything else. the only thing that can scratch a diamond is another diamond.
