is it safe to use vaginal suppository even during menstruation?what are the side effects?

i have vaginal infection and I am currently under medication(suppositories) and my period suddenly came in the middle of the week that take the inserts, is it still safe to use it even when you have your period? does it have side effects?

If it is for a yeast infection, it is fine to use while your on your period. The only side effect is just a being a little messy.

Call your doctor, there won't be any side effects but your flow might flush out the medication making the infection worse then it is now because you only partially treated it. Bottom line call the doc
