whtecloud, bronchiectasis is a completely different condition than bronchitis. Bronchitis is an inflamation of the bronchial airways usually requiring a use of bronchodilators. While the two have similarities, bronchiectasis is a chronic dilation of the bronchial airways assiociated with a condition such as COPD, CF or an acute or chronic obstruction. bronchiectasis is secondary to an already present illness.

You need to speak with your doctor and work out an appropriate treatment regimen. Typically corticosteroids and antibiotics are used along with bronchodilators. Chest Physiotherapy (CPT) is also a common treatment used to aid in secretion removal.

I think you mean bronchitis. This is usually not treated with antibiotics because it's a viral infection. Take Tylenol, Advil or whatever you have on hand, for fever, muscle aches A cool mist vaporiser or if you don't have this run a cool shower, sit in the bathroom with the door closed for awhile. For cough. Robitussin(don't know how to spell it)usually works well.

See your doctor before it gets worse. You need antibiotics. To help the medicine work faster in your system drink lots of water, avoid cigarettes if you smoke, or live around smokers, and avoid allergens.
