Ok...so I'm planning on living in the woods for a time. Does anybody have any survival tips that might come in handy?

I've always wanted to run in an organized 5K. But whenever I check it costs about $20 to enter. I don't understand why people will pay that. I can go up to the high school track and run a 5K for free. That's like earning $40 an hour. So why do so many people pay to run?

It's not leaking or anything, just not shedding water like it used to. It's a great tent and I'm not interested in buying another one. I'm located in York, UK.

Why do joggers insist on jogging on the road, even when there are perfectly good footpaths adjacent to the road? I was once told it's because it is bad for them to have to go up and down kerbs at road junctions etc. Don't know that's true, because they will do it even when ther are no junctions or kerbs to go over. Seems very dangerous to me, and especially so on these dark nights.I don't think there is any excuse for this dangerous practise. Smacks of 'hey look at me, I'm a jogger'. Can't think of any other reason.

I am looking at either the Mountain Hardweard Downtown or the Mammut Vinson. Also I need to find a good rain shell but do not want to spend more than 100-200$. I will be using these will backpacking in Europe.

Common sense tells me that they must do, but I've never heard about any of them dying.

It's such a dangerous thing to do, surely their common sense should overide they're desire for an andrenaline rush?!
