this question came from a guy friend of mine whom i have flirted with before. we have gone out before.... but somehow, things never got further. he's in another state now and has suddenly assumed that i have got a hot date for valentine's and how it went? was he just flirting with me or is there more to the question?

What is love's true definition? how was this day of love for you? or my favorite is love dead? if so i have a little something for you i wrote on this Valentine's Day.

Ok he's very young he's not turning 14 till July 1 and Im about to turn 14 so I'm older than him but he's my CRUSH!! my love my hearts throb. Don't worry were not active yet (too young) but I cant live without him. Why did he forget me on Valentine's day? Tonite my mom say me really sad and I told her that he forgot me she gave me one of her special looks and said a riddle; she asked me if I know the difference between men and boys. I said that men are adults and boys arent RIGHT??? she said no the difference is that men are taller than boys. Then she said dont worry and the usual question she asks me when Jamie comes up is are we acting appropriate and she expects me to or we will not be able to see each other any more. I answerd her with my usual answer YES MOMMY DONT WORRY LITTLE BECKY ALWAYS ACTS APPROPRIATE. Why didnt he remember me? Oh I got all my friends at school really nice cards and they gave me some really cute cards too but why didnt HE??

people get all stressed and sad and depressed about it when they're single and don't have a "valentine". and people who aren't single do the same thing when they don't necessarily get what they want when this day rolls around. i don't see what the big deal is either way. it's just another day to me. hell, i don't think you should reserve the celebration of your love for your significant other/friends/family on just one day, you should do it every day if you really love them, even if it's just in a small way. why do people make such a fuss about valentine's day?

My husband and I had some bog, super romantic plans. This is our 9th Valentine's day together. Mushy junk like that. But he woke up sick this morning and we are getting a HUGE snowstorm outside. Not only can we not leave the driveway, but I have to keep the kids occupied while he sleeps on the couch. Nothing says romance like giving a man TheraFlu for dinner! No wineing and dining tonight! So what's your story???

Valentine’s Day

A masochist created Valentine’s Day
Just so that the world can say
Hey- look at all those lonely people
Driven to throwing themselves off church steeples
Red, white and pink are everywhere
Tears of lonely singles choke the air
Those in relationships don’t escape this mess
They’re supposed to be happy, but are still depressed
They take this day to “show they care”
And ignore each other the rest of the year

On every page of the internet
Hearts pop up, and eyes are wet
We spend millions on candy and cards
No one can avoid this farce
Companies make so much money
I find the whole thing vaguely funny
And yet, I’m always so miserable
Why do we all buy into this bull?

I say, screw St. Valentine
He still met a grisly demise
Love didn’t save him, he was sent to the lions
Because of him, every February
We all end up moping and weary
Because we have no one with which to share
This most depressing day of the year
