Generally, I live a fulfilled life and I am happy. But sometimes, I become depressed for no apparent reason and I find it difficult to do anything. I don't want to work or go to college or see friends. But whilst I feel like this, at the same time I feel worse because I know I should be out there doing something. How can I deal with this and stay motivated and focused on what needs to be done?

It seems to be all the rage to say things like, "Yeah, my great-great grandmother was half Cherokee!" and then act all smug about it. Now, don't get me wrong...I have several friends who are Native American, and I think they're great. However, they also wonder when Caucasians went from shunning the 'red man' to being desperate to be related to them in some way?

The last one was the peace-loving Amish - nutcase ties up three school girls and executes them against the blackboard - now four dead, because he wanted revenge for something that happened 20 years ago - does anyone know WHAT he was avenging exactly? Just a small point of logic I need answering if someone could please - those kids wern't alive 20 years ago - so was it something their parents had done? Clipped his 4x4 with one of their horse-driven carriages perhaps or did this posty get dismissed from his job or didn't he get enough pay rises or something?

I mean - they're perfectly good reasons for cold-blooded murder in this twisted world we live in now - aren't they? Oh! I know what it was - his XBOX or PLAYSTATION encouraged him - yes?

What's next - mass baby-murdering in their incubators in hospitals ?

I tell you people it won't be long now - I revise my original estimate of 10 to 20 years down to 5 or 10

If you took gorrilas or chimps out of there natural envoiroment and brought them into ours ,took away there need to forrage for food or protect themselves from predators ,would after several generations their physiology change so that there brain would develop more as there limbs became less powerful ,eventually capable of speech and abstact thought in a 'speeded up ' version of human evolution or would even after several hundred generations they remain much as they are today ?

i want to get into this particular field...i love the thought of studying the ancients....of reading texts that they based their entire empires on....if you watch stargate sg1 then daniel is kinda the type of wanna be...what do you think...i have had some negative feedback because their isn't too much of a market for this particular field...but i don't want to work in the u.s. i want to travel...to see the world...what are the pro's and con's?
