They say I'm nasty, but I don't give a damn. Gettin' girls is how I live. Some ask me questions--why am I so real? But they don't understand me. I really don't know the deal about a brother trying hard to make it right!

If they discovered a car which was running (assume it has several years worth of gas) but had no way to disassemble it, what would they conclude about the inner workings of the car and where it came from. Keep in mind that they have no counterpart to an internal combustion engine in their experience.

I read the Four Myths of Winnebago that Claude Levi-Strauss applyed his method to for my anthropological thought class and I became really intrested.I was wondering if perhaps it could be applyed to urban legends and modern and past day american myths/legends (Pecos Bill,Paul Bunyan and the likes).I was thinking about doing a study/writeing a paper on this for my own enrichment outside of class.

I am not getting any answers in the mythology sectiono fthe answer site so I will try here as it is anthropology as well.

We no longer grow our own food. We no longer walk to our destinations. Cleaning our houses is less physicalloy demanding. We can ride elevators rather than climb stairs.
Is technology to blame for the poor physical condition of Americans. Who do we place the blame on.. Technology or Humanity..?

Ok so I have a uni paper due in a few weeks for anthropology. The topic is we have to go out and observe a food or drinking ritual in society. It has to be a public event and for people over the age of 18.
50% of my mark is graded on the creativity of my subject, so please if anyone has some different ideas on where i should focus my paper on that would be great!

I don't condone racialy motivated violence etc..However,as a realist,I can see how it may occur between a Whiteman & a Blackman,or Chineseman etc..Its always been something of a mystery to me why Jews seem to be on a different plane then the rest of whitemen(historically speaking). When it comes down to the nitty gritty, are not Jews of Caucosoid genepool? And if so,did hitler/nazi just not realize this?

Is it fate? Is it our chemistry and our enviornment? Do we have any control over the choices we make or is it already set in stone because of our biology or how we were treated when we were young? I don't know if I am wording my questions the right way, but my teacher brought it up once in my english class and I have been wondering about it. What's your opinion?
