I want to send a gift to my friend in the mail. The gift is a very small magnet and it can fit inside of an envelope. I wanted to know, instead of mailing it as a package(because sending it as a package is going to cost 12 dollars), can I just bubble wrap it and put it inside of the envelope? Will I need to put an extra stamp on it?

I am supposed to recieve some important documents from Buffalo, NY. The people sending them, sent them by regular mail( i think its ground), on Jan 29th. i have been waiting almost one and a half weeks for the documents to arrive but havent got them yet. Amongst the documents is my passport that I am scared of losing. I live in Mississauga, ON which is almost a 2 hour drive from Buffalo. Am I anxious for no reason or should I be really worried?! A store in Halifax Nova Scotia Canada recently closed down.
The store is called HANDSMITHS and they carried these neat metal statues of simple human figures in families.
Does anybody know the name of the artist who makes these?? I want one for my parents anniversary!
