has anybody bought sims 2 and have not been able to get it going because the screen on the computer is not big enough, i have been told i need a graphics card which costs £50.00 , surely there is a cheaper way, any body out there that knows before i spend another £50 on something that someone will tell me ,(i knew that!) next week??

listen, two days ago i bought a second hand xbox (the old one) from the shop "GAME". when i brought it home and started playing with it it kep making this whirring sound and some of the games i bought with it kept saying there was an error reading the disk and to make sure the disk was clean and not damaged. so i took the xbox back to the shop and got a new one but then the cd's that werent working with the first xbox works and the other games which did work on the first one says theres an error and so on.. please please someone tell me whats the matter here.. thanks.

the face is cream with the name Smiths Astral, the watch and braclet type strap are yellow metal I think its gold I can make out a hall mark on the strap but i cant see any mark on the case i have no idea how old it is you wind it up to make it work there is no date box on the face and the numbers 12, 3, 6 and 9 are the only proper numbers the outhers are dashes

Hi,

I am aware that the sizing on the back of pattern envelopes are different from 'off the rack' sizes. So I measured myself (bust, waist, hip) over and over again to make sure and according to the pattern measurements, I am a size 18.

My multisize pattern only went up to size 16 so I made a size 16 skirt and it was too big. The next time, I made a size 14 skirt off the same pattern and its still too big.......I haven't lost weight or anything.

Does anyone know what is happening? I want to be able to sew garments where I can depend reliably on the measurements. Perhaps someone can suggest a better way of figuring out one's size on a pattern?

Just a note - on off the rack clothes, I am a size 12 (medium)

Hi folks,
Rummaging through a small coin collection from many years ago, a bit of fun at the time, I have discovred an 1855 penny with the KN stamp on it. - Kings Norton mint.
My little book - out of date, tells me that only 500 were minted with this imprint, as the whole show changed.
The thing is not too worn down, all details legible.

Is the thing worth much I wonder ?
