Do you think any bands toay can measure up to the oldies?

Queen, Abba, ACDC, Elton John, Shania Twain etc...

Do you think any bands today even come close to producing the kind of music these so called 'oldies' did. And if so, which bands?

** Also there are a few songs that might come close, if not the entire band.. so through a few titles in too if you want.

I have an internet relationship with an African girl and she offered to marry me with a 100,000 dollar dowry from her parents if I flew over to meet her with all my personal documents. By an unlucky coincidence I was abducted at the airport by a group of thugs who appeared to know my name and I was tied naked to a bed in a hotel room for 10 days as they tried to negotiate a ransom. Fortunately I was rescued and taken home. I apologised over the phone to my girlfriend and she told me to try and come again, but this time don't tell anyone where I'm going.

Has anyone else noticed this odd little paradox?

People on here are always advising people to get confident, feel better about themselves, have higher self-esteem. This is like the standard advice for any problem.

BUT

If you answer questions in a self-confident manner and point out to everyone how totally awesome you are and how everyone loves you and stuff, then you get heaps of thumbs-down and people get really snotty.

So is confidence good or bad?
