Queen, Abba, ACDC, Elton John, Shania Twain etc...
Do you think any bands today even come close to producing the kind of music these so called 'oldies' did. And if so, which bands?
** Also there are a few songs that might come close, if not the entire band.. so through a few titles in too if you want.

You forgot to mention The Beatles...but I don't know if you'd consider U2 'new school' they are kinda old...if they are...I think they can measure up.

Uh Shania Twain is NOT an oldie.
And bands like Pearl Jam, Nirvana, The Red Hot Chili Peppers can certainly measure up to the oldies.

Ya know, me and the hubby were talking about this the other day. Don't forget about Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, ACDC. . . . There really isnt any good Rock N Roll bands anymore. They're more alternative or metal now. I'd say John Mayer can rock out when called upon.

some of the new songs are repeats of old ones just worded a little different and sung different.
none can measure up to them.

forget the oldies! thats music froma different time. music today is from so many other different genres, so you cant make a fair comparison. i LOVE today's music
