Paper towels, oh and once I used an old gym sock....... You'd be suprised at the change of flavor and aroma, or maybe you wouldn't.

I have and yes, I have reverted to the paper towel. I can't think of another substitute. I would rather be out of filters than coffee.

oh yeah, i've done that. coffee filters work fine in a jam.
there's no way i can function to do anything else, even shower, without atleast 12-16oz of coffee in me ASAP.
i usually set the coffee maker to brew 10 minutes before my alarm goes off, when i have to be up early, that way, there's none of that fumbling around in the kitchen spilling coffee grounds and water all over the place because i'm still in a comotose state of being half-asleep LOL

Yes, I've used paper towels. They don't work very good, but my daughter is sitting here and said that her fiance used a panty hose one time and it worked great.
