When people have different opinions on an issue, and they make good arguments on both sides, how do you decide which opinion is "right" for you?

For example, porn, some people think it is ok, some people think it is wrong. They both have good arguments, how do you decide between them?

here is the deal me and my sister are 2 yrs apart and have always been together,she moved to Dallas Monday and now it feels I only have one friend left. She said how about in a yr i move up there to, the only thing keeping me in Waco is my mother and childrens father i want them to have a relationship with him even though we are not together. I have always wanted to go back to school so I could go to school in Dallas. (Waco has three schools Baylor,MCC,TSTC,last two community colleges) So should I follow her or stay here and get my own life. btw I would not live with her in Dallas I would get my own place.

Oh, BTW, Elaine, I DID read that. Although I'm not a big sci-fi buff, I'd say it was pretty darned interesting. Like everyone else said, I'm pretty curious as to how the alien knows about the girl's inner thoughts and feelings...
