Mississippi seems like a charming state. The people I've met have been very pleasant and charming. The land is gently rolling, but has beautiful pine forests. The rivers are nice, wide, and have a gentle feel about them--the sound soothes you at night. The Gulf Coast has made incredible strides to rebuild itself, and Southhaven (Desoto County) is a booming, cosmopolitan suburb of Memphis. The schools--Ole Miss, Miss. State, Miss. College, Miss. College for Women, etc.--are as full of opportunity as where. Oxford is a beautiful, historic, charming town unlike any other--so tiny yet so cosmopolitan.
It sure seems to beat the heck out of Kentucky, where I live.
