When I was in U.S. Army basic trainuig in 1972 we sang the version with the second stanza which begins
"Around the Park, she pushed a baby carriage."
I call that the "Don't trust soldiers!' version
Does anyone know of a versiion in which SHE accepts something from a person in each of the "Combat" branches*
I would imagine that the final stanza would begin
"And when, at last, the bloody war was over.."
unsure of the next lines
"She wed a (unpritable) civi who had never been to war" or
"She wed a (unprintable) pay clerk from the (unprintable) finance corps."

Please do _not_ bring up either
The John Wayne Movie "She Wore A Yelolw Ribbon"
or the Song "Tie a Yellow Ribbon 'Round the Old Oak Tree"

Neither is relevant to the question!

Dejavu up the yin yang, would he be like a street hero? Imagine him going to church and layin it all down about earth, that'd be hard, the priest converts to voodoo?

All they do is talk about their cars and weatlh and the girls they do! And people buy their album! I love hip pop myself, but we have got to admit that the lyrics sucks and are not helping the black community! I mean, somebody who wanna learn english is not going to listen to rap because it's going to take him 600 steps back!
Hip hop, yeah, it's a culture but damn...

won the day?CBS radio, lost Howard Stern and replaced him with David Lee Roth. He's gone ,so they tried Opie and Anthony.I understand their ratings in some markets are as low as 0.0? Imus gets canned,Elvis and Duran get suspended? What is going on? In L.A. ,the funny Adam Carolla is hanging on by a thread I understand.Sounds like Howard gets the last laugh. From 600,000 listeners to 6,000,000 in a year ,Sirius taking over XM radio. No wonder Clear Channel is selling off their stations! What say YOU?
