How can one explain the proverbial American dislike of the British after 230 years?

Isn't it true that the original 13 colonies which achieved their freedom from Great Britain were predominantly Anglo-Saxon, or people of British origin and not Irish, German, Italian or African?

Honorable Presidents, Generals and Patriots, Messrs Washington, Jefferson, Grant, Adams, Franklin and others - many were indeed, Anglo-Saxon by descent. 230 years since, while it is certainly a highly honourable thing to appreciate one's nation's struggle for independence, I think one needs to be relevant to the present context. Right from the American media kings to the cheery taxistas, they never let down their ridicule of the British.

FYI, I'm neither Brit nor American. I'm just looking for explanations with factual bases, even if they go to prove that I've got my facts wrong. It would be most appreciated. But if you're planning to reply rudely - Its none of your ***** business, request you to please excuse yourself and not respond.

I'm a young novelist who want to write a book that will stand the test of time. Advice?

Ok, the book is titled I'm Not Perfect. Its about 5 teens, one teacher, and three parents that go through their daily lives in high school and at home. Its also about their personal struggles with homework, relationships, and for one of them, drugs. Their struggle to be "perfect" was my inspiration for the title. I tried using my high school experience so far as a basis of writing the novel, but my life is kinda boring. I'm just some average Asian kid who has a few friends but has never been popular. Any way to put some spice on the rice?

Blunt or joint?

I prefer a joint when im with myself or one other person, but i like blunts when im with a buncha my friends and i wanna make it last without bein called stingy with my weed. i was just wondering how everybody else felt on it. You can put other methods such as bong or spoon or whatever, but im just old timey when i smoke so i usually just smoke rolled goods or a bowl ;)
