Ok, the book is titled I'm Not Perfect. Its about 5 teens, one teacher, and three parents that go through their daily lives in high school and at home. Its also about their personal struggles with homework, relationships, and for one of them, drugs. Their struggle to be "perfect" was my inspiration for the title. I tried using my high school experience so far as a basis of writing the novel, but my life is kinda boring. I'm just some average Asian kid who has a few friends but has never been popular. Any way to put some spice on the rice?

Lol. Spice on the rice, that's good, I like that. Write about what you know. It does not have to be from personal experience. You will draw on knowledge gained from research, study, more research, more study, get the idea? Try not to rely on your imagination in terms of technical subjects and aspects of your story. Knowing what you're writing about helps flesh out the body of your work. Story lines should be creative, but to add credibility to the work you need to have at least a working knowledge of your subject matter. Good luck Son, hope you win a Pulitzer.

Listen, I admit you have a good plot going. However, you cant write about other people's experiences, because then you wont own the book. Besides, your first book is more than likely going to be rejected. I dont mean to be discouraging, but im being realistic. My advice: Keep writing!!! and never ever ever ever ever give up. #2: Live your life, not someone elses; im not saying go out and do drugs or anything like that, but maybe you should try new things. #3: Dont write anything that acually happened, because you could get sued. But you probably already know about that. Just go where you imagination takes you, and you won't need advice.
