I LOVE Netflix. Really, I could do a commercial for them.
I haven't tried the mailing blockbuster so I don't know what the deal is with them. However, I have a thing against blockbuster so I would never use them. That "no late fees" thing was a joke. Right, no late fees but a charge equal to the cost of the movie if it was out for more 30 days and even when you brought it back a restocking fee. That sucks. And you gotta love how when you walk in to a Blockbuster where you haven't been, they MUST see your membership card because their computers just aren't linked up that way (that's what I was told). But they can tell if you have late fees on that account.
Netflix is great. Changing your account is super easy. I have NO problems with deliveries. The couple of times in the past 4 years that I had a broken disk or missing shipment, it was addressed with no questions asked. Great user interface also.

I signed up for both to audition them. Netflix has nearly every movie that has ever been offered on DVD. I challenge you to find a movie available on DVD that Netflix does not have.
I found that Blockbuster had a very limited selection. Not much better than the stores. The only way I would recommend Blockbuster is if you only like to watch popular mainstream movies.
Netflix, hands down.

Blockbuster seems to have the best deal, but I use Netflix because Blockbuster has had some questionable business practices in the past. I'd rather not reward a dishonest company.

I've never used Netflix but with Blockbuster you don't have to pay monthly fees to rent from them. At least that is the case if you go in to the actual store to rent films. I haven't been there recently to know what their services are anymore.

depends on where you live. I do netflix just cause I think blockbuster is satan and plus netflix HUB is like 3 hrs from where I live so I get my movies really fast.
I find that netflix carries a wider variety of indies and classic films

I used blockbuster for awhile but it all became such a pain in the butt. I'd rather actually go to the video store and get the movies and bring them home. They could be a great convenience if you are in a rural area, but otherwise, a pain.
