I used to like pop and rock (proper foo fighters/nirvana/queen and led zeppelin)
then I liked the velvet underground
I quite like gypsy punk and folk...and country, like devotchka and rufus wainwright
do you think that's a wierd progression?

Aria on a G-string? Something like that wasn't it? William Orbit had a version out if I recall correctly,.. and I THINK it was a remix of a classical piece of music,. any ideas? My dad and I have not been getting along and have been at each other's throats sadly. He and I had a huge fight last night, on thanksgiving. My mom agrees with me on how he's acting alot of the time, they are married and he won't listen to her when it comes to what's going on between him and I. He tunes me out most of the time I'm talking to him. I still love him, but I don't feel that coming from him. Are there any songs that could be about this?

I want to make a video set to chapter 34 from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. If you haven't read the book and don't want it spoiled for you, don't continue reading, but if you don't care, then continue reading. In the chapter, Harry sets off to the forest again to find Voldemort so Voldemort can kill him, and on the way there he's thinking about death, and remembering all of the good times he's had with his friends. Anyway, I keep looking for songs but nothings actually grabbed me yet, except this one song, but someone already used it. I'm looking for a slow song that would really capture the emotion in this situation.

We want to have a public performance of old Christmas songs, with them recorded and post on YouTube, but we don't want to violate copyright laws, again. Recently we learned the hard way that the Happy Birthday song is still under copyright restrictions and will be until the year 2030. So, how do you learn if some old song is still protected?
