I just noticed today that my string is brown, more specifically, the 2nd and 3rd frets of the D string. The rest of the strings are, well, normal string colors, but is it normal for it to be brown? What is this caused by? Is it because that I got this guitar somewhere other than the United States [Got mine in Asia...heh.]?

im actually playing mellophone, but whenever i play middle C, or notes around that register, a hissing sound comes out. Its like a fuzzy sound, as if you where saying, ssssssssssssssss

and advice would be much appreciated
