I've just watched a very informative documentary about the fabulous work done by the world police. I was, however confused by some of the foreign language spoken. Can someone tell me what language this is and what it means?

This not a new movie I think was made between 70-80s. In the movie, the lead character is convicted and is jailed. In the prison, he finds a woman who is in the prison library (i think maybe she is the librarian of the prison) and falls in love with her. One day, the hero storms through the room in which the woman is present, takes her underwear off and has sex with her. The woman is shocked by his sudden move and can only ask "are you sure?". Immediately afterwards, he jumps from a window and I think escapes the prison.
