I myself prefered the tumbs rating. I know the stars is a more "postive" sign, but I liked the warning of many thumbs down.

I'm very interested in the Gibson Les Paul models of guitars, but I simply can't afford the $1000+ price tag for one. People have recommended the Epiphone substitute to me, which has a MUCH lower price point.

I know the differences between the two of them, and have done a great deal of research on the two, but there's one question that I've been curious to ask...

Shallowness aside, would I look "dorky", "cheap" or "rookie" playing an Epiphone? I know they are great guitars, but I'm not to sure how guitar vets view them.

i have this old beater car that i have been trying to get rid of forever.... it runs alright and looks alright, and i am only asking $500 for it, i've had it in the paper for 2 weeks now and people call about it all the time, but nobody has ever came out to see it!
I am honest about the shape its in when people call, is that what i am doing wrong?

any ideas (besides ebay, i don't wanna go that route) that can help me onload this piece of crap on some unsuspecting person?
