I live in Marin County in California. I'm looking to find a place in the Bay Area, preferably Marin, East Bay, or San Francisco, to buy a pair of KSwiss Arvee shoes. I have a really pretty pair of flat velvet (or velvet like) shoes with a small block heel in u.k size three. I really want to wear them to the office but they're a teeny bit too loose and keep slipping down my heel when I walk, even if I wear thick tights. I probably wont find another pair in a smaller size. I dont think theyre 'too big' anyway- theyre just not tight enough. Have you any ideas how I can adjust them so that they stay on my feet when I walk?

Well that is pretty much true.

But then the De Beers family started doing things like paying for a whole movie just so there would be a scene where a man gave a diamond as an engagement ring. Sort of like the way everyone in the movies smokes today.

There are terms for it. Created market, perceived value.

It means we are suckers for a shiny rock.

The next part is the mine workers. They are basically slaves, kept in camps in Africa. Wars over diamonds in the Congo have killed millions.

Me and a couple friends were driving into the city for a night of partying, we live about 40 min away. Anyway as we driving one of my friends had to pee because alcohol (not the driver). So we pull into a gas station but guess what - it's just a person in a booth, no service or bathrooms!

So my friend ran around to the side of the building and past this soda vending machine. And she just went for a pee there on the asphalt, squatting behind the vending machine!!!

What do you do, if in the same situation?

It has 2 black stripes on it. Really nice jacket from Wilson's leather that I got great deal on and I thought I liked how it looked on me until my wife and best friend wanted to get me a single glove and force me to sing "Beat it".
