I think with herpes you have also flu like symptoms. Might be thrush? Or a combination of herpes I and thrush? Hard to say.
I don't think it's syph. I believe you have a sore with it that's painless but leaves a scar, but usually it's on the genitals and not on your mouth. Though, I read you can get syph by kissing.
I'd recommend seeing a doctor to put your mind at rest.

i think its syphilis b/c on this movie they said that if u have sores on ur mouth its syphilis
