I have to question why anyone would be on levofloxacin for 30 days if they weren't critically septic with some raging horrible infection.
With that said, I haven't seen levofloxacin listed as a treatment for CT or GC in the CDC treatment guidelines dating back to 2002. Usually, it seems doctors prescribe doxycycline for most part (unless the patient is pregnant or allergic).
Anyway, I haven't seen fluoroquinolone resistance be a big issue for CT, but I know it is growing in "popularity" in GC strains coming from Asia. Since comorbidity between CT and GC is common, I can see why you'd just try to use the antibiotics that would cover both, hence not treat CT with levofloxacin.

Levofloxacin is used treat infections such as pneumonia; chronic bronchitis; and sinus, urinary tract, kidney, and skin infections. Levofloxacin is in a class of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones. It works by eliminating bacteria that cause infections.
Treatment of Chlamydia:
* Doxycycline 100 mg 2-3 times a day for 10-14 days
* Zithromax® (azithromycin) 1.0 gm (4 x 250 mg) a single dose
* Zithromax® Z-pak® (azithromycin) - 500mg on day 1, followed by 1 tab (250mg) once a day for 4 more days
To avoid re-infection, any sexual partners should be treated too. Treating gonorrhea is advocated for patients being treated for chlamydia, and vice versa (50% have both infections together)
Treatment of Gonorrhea:
* Cipro® XR 500 mg a single dose, or
* Levaquin® 500 mg a single dose, or
* Tequin® 400 mg a single dose;
Once chlamydia has been successfully treated, it won't come back unless a new infection is picked up.

What you need is
for gonorrhea: Ceftibuten 400 mg per oral single dose
for clamydia: Azathromycin 1g per oral single dose
You do not really need to take drugs for a whole month to cure them.
Alternative treatments:
Clamydia:
Doxycycline 100 mg twice a day for a week
Levofloxacin 500mg daily for a week
Gonorrhea
Ceftriaxone 250mg Intramuscular single dose
Spectinomycin 2-4g intramuscular single dose
Fluoroquinolone e.g. Levofloxacin 250mg single dose
FQ like levofloxacin should not be used as empirical therapy in asia as increasing resistance is observed. i do not know where you come from sorry...
Note all the treatment for gonorrhea are "Single Dose" unless u hv disseminated gonococcal infection like septicemia, arthritis, endocarditis, etc.

Each one works and each one works a little differently. Amoxicillin is the mildest. You should have had some relief with the Zpak. Levaquin is good and usually isn't given for a month at a time so I'm thinking your Dr wants to knock it out of you. This should also cover anything else going on in your body. Drink lots of water. If this doen't work ask the Dr about doing a culture. Good luck
