I am going on a juice fast, and need to find a high-quality juicer. Something that will leave me with fresh, delicious juice. I am wondering if a juicer can affect how much nutrients are lost? If so, please recommend me a juicer that will have as little nutrients lost as possible. Three juicers that are recommended online are the: Jack LaLanne Juicer,Champion Juicer, and Breville Juicer- all in their latest models. Have you heard of any of them? Are they any good? Out of the three, which is the best? Again, cost is not a concern. Which juicer do you recommend overall (does not have to be out of those three)? Oh, and any juice fasting tips would be great. Thanks!
Thanks!

Definitely the best overall juicer is the Vita-mix. The professional places like diners and Jamba Juice, they all use this juicer. You can buy from their website. I bought my wife one, and she loves it. This is the best quality. You said cost is Ok. This costs $499 plus tax. It is not very big, either, just like a normal juicer. It can even mix grain! It is very powerful.

I have been juicing for over 25 years, and have tried them all. In my experience, the most expensive juicers are heavy, hard to clean and noisy. My personal favorite, and the one I have repurchased over the years, is an inexpensive (about 25 bucks) Waring juicer. I bought a Jack LaLanne from QVC a few years ago, and ended up returning it-its a right pain to clean! The Brevelle is ok, but also hard to clean. With ANY juicer, you MUST clean the screen within minutes of juicing, or the pulp residue will dry and get caked on. I put all of my parts in hot soapy water as soon as I am done juicing, then wash them after I have enjoyed my juice. You can get the Waring brand at Walmart or Kmart. Of all of the juicers I have used over the years, I have found the Waring to be the best. Good luck with your fast-make sure to use only organic produce so you don't end up drinking loads of toxic pesticides-they CANNOT be washed off of commercially grown veggies and fruits, as some of the residue ends up in the actual fruit. Also, although cost is not a concern for you, I have found MANY brand new juicers, still in the box in thrift stores and at flea markets.

I have had the Champion juicer and it is OK at around 100 dollars. It has to work hard to get some of the vegetables into juice (like carrots, especially if you don't cut them into little bits!). But I also have a Z-star juicer for my wheatgrass that works pretty well too. It is a manual, so the carrots again are a little more work. But it is nice as I don't have to be plugged in to use it (hiking trips/camping trips/etc.), although you do need a platform to clamp it too. The website for Tribestar's Z-star juicer has some more recommendations for a citrus juicer and other grinding tools.

Best Overall Juicer:
Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800JEXL
This particular Breville Juice Machine was chosen best juicer overall because it is most efficient at squeezing the most juice from fruits and vegetables (and the more juice, the better). The Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800 JEXL is also easy to clean, with dishwasher-safe parts. For all those who’ve never owned a juice extractor before, easy cleanup is a big deal. This Breville Juice Machine also has an extra-wide feeding tube, so you don’t have to chop your vegetables and fruit into small bits. Also a big deal. The Breville Juice Fountain Elite is truly an oustanding juicer. Of course, an outstanding juicer also comes with a large price tag. The Juice Fountain Elite will set you back about $300.
From my point of view it is best .

I've not had any experience with the other two juicers, so I won't comment on them but I own a Jack LaLane juicer and I like it. Compared to the models I've had in the past, this one makes less noise, gives me more juice and the hopper is much bigger and I can make my juice faster (instead of having to chop it into tiny bits).
As for the juice fasting tips:
1- Start and finish the juice fast gradually. About a week before the fast, make a plan to cut off certain foods from your diet. For example, the first day you might want to stop eating meat (if you eat meat). The next day, you might want to stop eating animal products (like dairy). The day after that, stop eating processed foods. The days following, eat fruit and veggies. On the day right before the fast, consume homemade soup or broth and that's all. Then you can start the fast. This way, your body becomes used to not having certain things and you're preparing it for not being able to consume solid calories.
As you finish the fast, slowly build yourself back up to what you were eating before by doing the above process in reverse. Start with the soup, the raw fruit and veggies, etc. If you slam your body with everything all at once, your fast was pointless.
2- Make sure you drink plenty of water during the fast. The juice is helping bring out a lot of toxins and waste from your internal organs. The water helps to flush those out of your system completely. Plus you stay hydrated in case you find yourself going to the restroom a lot (and it's very possible).
3- Beets and cabbage are great cleaners, but you don't want to drink large quantities of them every day. Keep those in moderation, but other than that feel free to mix your fruit, veggies, herbs and spices. Garlic, parsley and ginger are great to add for extra flavor.
Good luck to you!
