My mom is having a fondue dinner...I'm the only vegetarian. Is there anything meatless that works well as a fondue dipper?

Of course!
I'm assuming you do eat cheese, so you can dip any and all veggies in it.
Chips
Pretzels

And I'm sure you could look up some things online. Juts type in vegetarian fondue into google

Well, there's all types of fondues. If she's starting w/ cheese, that would be best for you. Into that you can dip apples, celery, hunks of bread, carrots, and so forth.

If it's one where you actually cook the food (in broth or oil), that gets trickier, and you may not have a balanced meal that night only. Just eat the veggies.

Hoping you do dairy, let me suggest a cheese fondue into which you'd dip bread. This will be good enough that you'll need to make enough for everyone.

You can find cheese fondue recipes at www.cooks.com if you need one.

Isn't all fondue correctly cheese? And aren't bread or vegetables the primary dippers? If your mom is using broth and meat, that's like a hot pot, it's not really fondue.

Abercrombie, that's completely NOT what she said. You got your name right anyway. :)

I'm thinking most fondue goodies are going to be vegetarian, no? Chocolate and fruit, cheese and veggies/bread? Even vegans can eat chocolate as long as it isn't dairy.

All sorts of veg in the cheese fondue, as well as the oil fondue. Chocolate should be no problem. Have fun!

If it's cheese fondue, & you're not vegan, bread is fine.
If it's hot oil, you could do raw veggies.
I guess boullion is right out.
What about soy weiners?

Sure, use lightly cooked, cup up vegetables to dip into the fondue. Some suggestions are broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, potatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts. Yum!

Fruit dipped in melted chocolate will work fine. I can't think of anything else if you don't eat cheese. When i was a vegetarian i ate cheese, but some don't.
