No because your cholesterol levels are governed by your liver. Eat more your liver produces less. Eat less your liver produces more.

While it is true that your liver is involved in cholesterol metabolism and production, it is the case that both dietary cholesterol and liver-produced cholesterol contribute. A new, combination drug called Vytorin combines Zedia ( which addresses the absorption of dietary cholesterol ) and Zocor (which addresses liver-produced cholesterol ) so both are relevant. All cholesterol drugs have potential effects on liver function so liver enzymes have to be monitored along with them.
