Tofu pretty much tastes like whatever seasoning you use with it. Straight out of the package it has very little taste at all. You can marinate it in sauces to give it the taste you like.
I love tofu, it is a great addition to many dishes. Just be sure to drain the water out of the tofu block, and make sure you choose the correct firmness(ie-stir fry = firm/extra firm, smoothies = softer variety, etc). Many people do not prepare it correctly the first time or so, and then think tofu taste terrible.

I think tofu taste like nothing really. It boring by its self. I cook vegetarian lasagna, and buy the stir fried tofu. Then i stir fry the tofu and when the vegetarian lasagna is almost ready i throw in the the tofu(put however much you want) And I still don't think it was all that. But i throw it in the refrigerator, and eat it the next day. The tofu absorbs the flavor, and it taste good. I usually hate reheating food, but in this case its better. The next day i throw it in the microwave for 2 min. There are much more options then beans. Try morning star brands. They are the best(my opinion). Check out what they make at morningstarfarms.com They make a lot of vegetarian meals.

Tofu doesn't really taste like much of anything; it soaks up the flavors of whatever you're cooking it with. The texture is what some people have a hard time with. It comes in silken, soft, firm and extra-firm, but even extra-firm can be kind of mushy if you don't squeeze all the liquid out of it. If it's prepared well, it can be really good. I like making scrambled tofu for breakfast. I use extra-firm tofu and after I drain it, I put it between layers of paper towels, stack a couple of heavy cookbooks on top and let the water press out of it for about an hour. That way, it's not mushy and it really soaks up the spices. Here's a recipe to try and see how you like it:

To be honest,
Tofu has zero taste. It's mostly used in other dishes because it "soaks up" the taste of other foods. One easy thing you could do with tofu is make a tofu scramble, which is a vegan/veggie substitute for scrambled eggs. You can buy tofu scramble mix at any natural store/whole foods, or even your own grocery store. Tofu is also good in stir fry cooking as well. It can also be marinated and baked, too. Just don't eat it plain out the package. You will be disappointed.

Tofu is made from beans too. So, it tasted like... guess what? -- that's right -- bean! It's made from bean water, so that's what it tastes like.
You need to get out more if you are only eating things like beans. There's a whole world of food out there... mainly in other countries -- see in N. America, it's all processed and packaged... and few people know how to cook at all. In other countries, their whole culture revolves around good quality food... Japan, Iran, Russia, China, India... fruits, vegetables, recipes you never imagined existed or tasted so good. I've been trying new things on a constant basis for the last decade at least just by visiting the Korean, Japanese, Middle Eastern, Indian, etc. markets... just endless things to try... and most everything is vegan anyway...
I'm a real advocate for growing at least some of your own food, so get into gardening. Try reading the book One Straw Revolution by Masanobu Fukuoka. It will get you in the proper mindset.

It all depends on how you cook it. Tofu really doesn't have a flavor on its own (Seriously, don't eat it without doing something to it. It's gross.), so it takes on the flavor of whatever you cook it in. I usually marinade my tofu so it tastes something like turkey and bake it in the oven. Freezing a block of tofu and letting it thaw before you cook it gives it a "meatier" texture. Oh, and make sure you get all of the water out, or else it won't taste as good.
I've heard people say that they make tofu smoothies with silken tofu. With tofu, you can do anything you'd do with meat, plus a million other awesome things. Google things like "tofu turkey recipes" or whatever kind of "meat" you like.

well i personally somewhat like sir fried tofu but other than that it's gross! people get mixed up with tofu and vegetable texturized protein! i personally receive questions, "hey what's in that veggie burger?" i can just say veggies- with a sarcastic tone! but they always infer it's tofu! but yes some tofu is so disgusting i can't stand it, the way it looks don't be fooled! but not to give into that stereotype i am 50% Asian so i guess it's a coincidence?but beans are similar to soybeans hahaha nvm disregard that but they are in the same family, but beans are so much tastier! you can add nuts for another source of protein, eggs if you're not a vegan! and egg noodles, etc.!

i concept this question grow to be a man or woman residing on the West Coast has diverse tastes than a man or woman on the East Coast. and that's in part actual (hate to be indecisive) with the aid of fact on an identical time as there are continually a pair people who do no longer care, i understand many people like me who like hyphy song with the aid of fact that's the Bay area's. And there are people on the East Coast who prefer East Coast, or perhaps some who write off the West. Then there are additionally some on the West who hate the West and faux to rep the East. and people interior the South are many times protecting their song. with the aid of fact the song is many times a contemplated image of that area (the Southern song of the 90s grow to be very sluggish and spread out, on an identical time as the East Coast had a gritty, business sound) the persons can relate extra to their area's song. So rather I sell that. EDIT: youthful new child,...are you extreme? White little ones interior the suburbs do no longer understand atmosphere? it fairly is like their trendy option/underground hip-hop group lol. to no longer generalize yet atmosphere fairly has roots interior the suburban marketplace.

Why would you live on beans? I don't like tofu, but you have plenty of options! You've got fruits, vegetables, and if you aren't vegan go for some milk, eggs and yogurt! What about rice and bread? Beans sounds like a recipe for anorexia, not a vegetarian diet.
