My family and I will be home New Years Eve. I don't get into the party hype and I hate the idea that most of the people on the road have alcohol in them but I do recognize the significance of "new beginnings". I will not be completely sober as I'm sure my husband and I will each have a glass of wine or two in front of the fireplace and I will make a resolution for a positive change in my life and one that will impact someone else's life as well. And, try as I might, I never seem to be able to stay awake long enough to ring in the New Year.

Staying in and off the roads. Too many drunks out. Dogs go nuts with fireworks and there are some idiots here in Mexico who still fire guns in the air. Always like to see the fireworks in Sydney harbor and Hong Kong, can't stay awake for the ball to drop in New York. A few tots of brandy and zzzzz. Feliz Ano Nuevo.

I will. My wedding anniversary is New Years Eve and my husband of 30 years died nearly 3 years ago. I hate New Years Eve, I love New Years Day when it's all over and I don't have to think about it too much for nearly a year.

I'm staying in with a good book and will remain sober with a cup of tea. Unfortunately I'll not be able to avoid the fireworks.
Why stay in? I'm a realist and old enough to know nothing is going to change, it's just another year. Apart from that, I'm not a lover of crowds and noise!
Here's to a Happy and Peaceful New Year.

I haven't left the house on New Years Eve for many years. I find the parties expensive for what they offer and some of the people at them think they are the only ones there. I also find that driving turns into amateur night. I do my drinking at home.

somewhat suitable! As a DJ I prefer to in basic terms be at buddies occasion and play some song :o) i think of that's a lots greater suitable feeling being at the same time with your friends than 1000's of no-marks out on the city - Liverpool on a Saturday night is busier than that's for the duration of the day! it extremely is high priced and the morning after is purely horrendous in each way..

Yeah - we'll be staying home. Out dig is petrified of fireworks and there are so many going off NYE that we don;t want to leave him.
Not sure if we'll be 100% sober got to have a drink to see the New Year in.
Have a great time.

I've got to stay in on new years eve. My daughter is autistic so we have to stick to the normal routines. Also at midnight when the fireworks go off I will have to look after the dogs who are terrified.
