taco dip is always the first to go at my parties

mix 2 pkgs softened cream cheese with one small container of sour cream and 1-2 pkgs taco seasoning
spread on cookie sheet or 2 large plates
top with - shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese, black olives, chopped green onion
serve with good tortilla chips!

Shrimp Dip
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons Russian dressing (can use Catalina)
2 teaspoons Worcheshire sauce
3 tablespoons finely minced onion or green onion
1 can medium shrimp, rinsed, drained and chopped (squeeze water out)

Mix the cream cheese with the dressing and Worcheshire sauce, then stir in the shrimp. Best made a day ahead. Serve with wheat crackers.

1/4 ts Celery seed, whole

Put all ingredients into electric blender and blend until smooth. Chill
and serve with potato chips or crackers. Yeilds 1-1/2 to 2 cups.


Spinach Dip in a Bread Bowl

2 cups sour cream
1 envelope ranch salad dressing mix
1 package spinach, frozen -- chopped, thawed
1/4 cup onion -- chopped
3/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1 loaf round bread
raw vegetables

In a bowl, combine first six ingredients. Chill for at least 1 hour. Cut a 1
- 1/2 inch slice off the top of the loaf; set aside. Hollow out the bottom
part, leaving a thick shell. Cut or tear the slice from the top of the loaf
and the bread from inside into bite-size pieces. Fill the shell with dip; set
on a large platter. Arrange the bread pieces and vegetables around it and
serve immediately. Yield: 10 to 15 servings.


STAWBERRY SUPREME CHEESECAKE DIP

1/2 c Fresh Or Frozen
Strawberries
1/4 c Sugar
1/4 c Sour Cream
1 tb Orange Liqueur
1 t Vanilla Extract

Process cream cheese, strawberries, sugar, sour cream,
liqueur, and vanilla in a blender or food processor
until very smooth. Pour into bowl,cover, and chill at
least 2 hours. Serve with your choice of dippers.

Kitchen sink dip! it's one of my favorites. Take sour cream and add onion powder, garlic powder, a little salt, and some pepper. Go raid the fridge. See if there's any grated cheese of any sort, some veggies you can dice finely like peppers or onions (leave out the onion powder if you have onions) and stir it all up together. A good one has everything but the kitchen sink, hence its name.

onion dip for chips
or this-- spread a block of creme cheese into a pyrex dish
next,spread a can of chilli (with or without beans)over the creme cheese
last, sprinkle on the top some grated cheese
Put in oven or microwave until topping is melted..
Serve with frito scoops or tortilla chips
You may double this.....

My mom makes a really good cream cheese dip for fruit, mixed with a jar of creamed marshmellows. People go crazy over it on pineapples, strawberries, all types of fruit!

This is a great easy recipe. Take a block of cream cheese, pour a small jar of pesto sauce over it, then place a few sun dried tomatoes from a jar with oil over it. Top with a few pine nuts and serve with crackers. Goes great with a glass of white wine or champagne.

or you could take chili and melt it w/ Velveeta cheese...keep in a small crock pot so it doesn't get hard..very easy...
