Ok so I have been half way disgnosed with asthma (I'm still have to do all kinds of tests) caused by a mold issue. I'm 18 and have always been a really serious runner. I went running today and I think I might have had an attack. My doctor told me tell her if I had one. My question is, how do you know if you are having an asthma attack.

If you can't breathe or breathing is very hard... then you're having an asthma attack. You'll know.... trust me. Work with your doctor to stay on top of your asthma so that you don't have asthma attacks.

it feels like your not using the air you breath in. your throat gets tight your chest hurts you have to strain to breath even a small ammount of breath. When it happens you panic. Most of the time if it is a serious attack you know that is its a serrious attack like when you break a bone and you just know that you broke a bone. Its not a fun thing

When my son has an attack there is no doubting that is what it is because he cannot catch his breath. I believe they are all pretty much like that, some are more severe and you have to go to the hospital.
