My sister is turning sixteen soon, and she's having a bunch of friends over, and I volunteered to help with the menu and serving all night.
I need some ideas though! And some creative ways to serve them. Theres about 15 girls, and we don't have too much money to go buy stuff. And the majority of it has to be able to be done in advance, because we'll be busy party day.
Any suggestions are welcome, the best ideas get 10 poitns!

Thank you for all your ideas!
BTW i also need ideas that won't go bad right away, so we can leave them out on the table for the girls to snack on through the night (like apples and stuff will start to turn brown early)
I appreciate all the help!

with all those girls I would find something they can do themselves so that they had the choice of what they were actually eating (if someone doesnt like onions for example!)
for the main "course"
nachos with the fixings (buy a can of nacho cheese from costco or sams club other stores may have them I never looked.. really cheap 8 bucks and it feeds a lot) get chips, have peppers, olives, guacamole, tomatos, lettuce, green onions, you could do ground beef (taco meat) refried beans basically any toppings you want. it is fun and cheap!!! Put the nacho cheese in a crock pot.. so itll be ready ahead of time.
Or.. you can do make your own pizzas.. you can use english muffins for the crust, or even french bread. You can buy premade cheese pizzas from a store (costco, take n'bake pizza places etc) and then have all the toppings so they can make their own.
Nachos is faster and they wont have to sit there waiting for the oven but pizza is a great choice too get them involved and it will give them something to do!
For snacks/apps:
Little sandwiches (cheap and easy!)
Chips & Dips (salsa, french onion/ranch)
popcorn
veggie tray
cheese/meat tray with crackers and cheese ball
ham rolls (cream cheese spread on ham rolled up)
salami rolls (cream cheese spread on salami folded in half, you can add a peppercini pepper or a bell pepper piece to make it different)
deviled eggs
Tortilla Roll-Ups (use cream cheese as the spread, add Bacon lettuce tomato or ham cheese and lettuce well you could add anything really roll it up and cut it)
most all this stuff can be done in advance (early that day or the day before)
You can also do banana splits for dessert.. or dessert nachos to go with the nacho theme!
Have fun!

Mix 8 oz of cream cheese (softened) with 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/4 cup mayo. Spread that in the bottom of your serving dish. Pour your favouite salsa over it, then cover with grated cheese. Serve with tortilla chips.
Spread flavoured cream cheese on tortilla wraps. Roll up and chill for a few hours. Slice into pinwheels right before serving. You can put anything in the wraps really. Tuna salad, ham & cheese, peanut butter and banana etc

go buy flat bread or tortilla shells and all the fixings for pizzas. melt down some chocolate chips and cut up some fruit for a chocolate fondue. make up mocktails and like virgin margaritas and smoothies. as for not having too much money why not scour the neighbourhood for pop cans and other recylables that can be returned to earn money for the party. and of course serve low maintenance foods like chips and salsa, chicken strips and french fries and munchie stuff like pretzels etc.

In a flat bottom dish, spread a package of cream cheese, then pop open a can of chili, layer that over, then a layer of shredded cheddar cheese. Put it in the microwave until the chili is hot and the cheese is melted, and serve with tortilla chips. =)

Well, you need cheap, fast, & easy: - so finger-food!
Pizza: but make it yourself. Small squares not big slices.
Just make up the crust ahead & have the girls prepare it.
Veggies: crisp & nourishing - celery, carrots, sweet peppers.
Fruit: pineapple, melon, orange-slices, straw-berries, etc.
Dips: fat-free yogurt & sour-cream with herbs for flavour.
Cheese: cut into cubes, serve with tooth-picks.
Bake: mini-muffins, brownies, carrot-cake, banana bread.
Cookies: make plain ones, lets girls decorate their own.
Pop-corn, potato-chips, cheese-puffs, etc.
